ENGINE FILTRATION

FUEL-WATER SEPARATOR HOUSINGS/VESSELS

Water removal is typically done in the primary (i.e. first) stage of fuel filtration, using a specialized coalescing fuel/water separator filter in an appropriately sized housing/vessel. This media is not only designed to remove water, it is a first line of defense against harmful particulate found in the fuel line, making it a critical component of a high-functioning diesel engine. The effective removal of water in the primary stage of fuel filtration is critical to protect expensive injection tips, and maintain efficient combustion in today’s high pressure engines.

Housings are available in a variety of sizes and styles. Purchase considerations include the fuel line’s flow rate, anticipated filter change-out frequency, size and shape of the engine compartment and line size. We have a wide array of different fuel-water separator housings available for both diesel and gasoline, and can help ensure that your engine consistently receives clean, dry fuel.
