FILTER HOUSINGS

PRESSURE LEAF FILTER VESSELS

Pressure Leaf Filters are designed for high flow rates and high solids removal in a variety of applications, often in manufacturing/processing plants. The ‘leaves’ in a Pressure Leaf Filter Vessel are oriented either horizontally or vertically, and often use Diatomaceous Earth (DE) as a pre-coat to improve the filtration rate and product clarity. Filtered materials form a ‘cake’ on the leaves during the filtration cycle, which causes an increase in pressure drop while flow rate remains constant. Properly cleaned filter leaves can last up to 20 years before replacement is necessary.
